Problem: Local church needed help with their website.
Solution: We offered our support and have been helping for 7+ years now.

Red O tries to do a little more then it’s share of pro bono website and marketing work. In St. John’s case, we noticed in their church bulletin (about eight years ago) that they needed help with their faltering website. I decided to take them on as a pro bono/giving back project. It’s been almost eight years now and three websites later and we still donate at least six hours a month to help them with their digital marketing needs. It has been nothing short of a rewarding relationship.

A New Brand From the Ground Up

St. John The Evangelist is also our parish and one of the larger RC churches in the area. But they did not and do not have the human resources to create and then maintain a website on their own. We have built them 3 websites so far and helped them with a lot of other small digital needs along the way.

Basic Website Services

St. John the Evangelist is a medium-sized Roman Catholic Church and parish on the island based out of Center Moriches. In the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit they are my home parish. But nonetheless I recognized their need and offered my services to help them develop a modern website indicative of the generous, selfless work they do for the community We have since created and maintained three iterations of the St. John the Evangelist website. The latest being in 2020.

All Things Digital

Although SJE’s website needs are not the same as a brick and mortar store, we treat them exactly the same and give them the same attention to detail that we would any other client. We delivered 3 websites (all in an HTML/CSS) and all built in Dreamweaver- that we edit and maintain for at least 1 hour a week and a half for the past 7+ years. We’ve also helped them get started with YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and countless other applications to help them run things a little more smoothly.

Kindness Begets Kindness

We do believe in getting back to our local community. St. John the Evangelist is not the only church that we take care of their websites for. We also created a website for Mount Olive Baptist Church in Medford New York. They have even more limited resources so we took on that project and the maintenance for free as well. But the point is we recognize these churches fulfill a vital need in their respective communities and we wanted to help them in return for their kindness.
